KLM and VNV Union Reach New Tentative Agreement for Pilots

“KLM and VNV Union Reach New Tentative Agreement for Pilots

Airline KLM and pilot union VNV have reached a new tentative agreement for a new collective labor agreement (cao) for the pilots. KLM announced this on Monday.

The two parties had already reached a tentative agreement in May of this year, but it was rejected by the pilots. Subsequently, the negotiations were difficult.

The new cao includes the agreements that the parties had already made on May 1st. Additionally, it has been agreed that workload reduction will be implemented earlier, and work is being done on a new request scheme.

Last month, pilots threatened strikes if KLM did not promise to alleviate their workload.

KLM expresses its happiness with the new agreement and “hopes that this will draw a line under the difficult period that preceded it.”
