Zakia has a background in the international business sector, where she has worked, among other roles, as a jurist. She studied law in France and obtained an LLM in European Private Law from Utrecht University.
Driven by her interest in understanding the underlying concerns of individuals in disputes and improving communication between them, Zakia increasingly focused on mediation. Since 2013, she has been fully dedicated to mediation. Zakia is a certified MfN-register mediator and a CEDR-accredited business mediator. She is also a member of the Platform Business Mediation.
Zakia has specialized in labor and collaboration conflicts in a broad sense. As a mediator, she has extensive experience in mediations across various sectors, including internationally, such as the business services, healthcare, education, and cultural sectors.
In addition to her mediation work, she conducts confidential investigations, focusing on personal and cultural aspects (certified SVBP private investigator). She is also an LVV-registered confidential advisor and a voluntary neighborhood mediator.
She operates in Dutch, English, and French.
