Pre-mediation is the guidance of parties by an independent third party to prevent disputes, as well as the supervision of a conversation to prevent escalation.

Pre-mediation is the process of an independent third party guiding parties in a dispute-prevention process. For example, it might consist of the supervision of a difficult conversation to prevent escalation.
