Edward Dijxhoorn started his career as a lawyer in 1979. In 1984 he was co-founder of a well-known law firm in Amersfoort, where he worked until 2019. Edward has been working as a mediator since 2012.
As a lawyer, Edward worked on a wide variety of aspects of corporate law, such as corporate takeovers, disputes within companies and other partnerships, insurance and liability law and insolvency law. He has worked extensively with directors/majority shareholders and for family businesses.
As a mediator, Edward focuses entirely on business mediation, with disputes stemming from bankruptcies and conflicts within family businesses as special areas of attention. He is also active as an independent chairperson, process supervisor and confidential advisor. Where appropriate, he acts as an arbitrator or binding advisor. The aim of his interventions is always to help find a robust and durable solution, while keeping in mind the interests of all parties involved. As an insolvency mediator, he is affiliated with the courts of Rotterdam and Utrecht.
Edward Dijxhoorn can boast of 40 years of managerial and supervisory experience, including with the Bar Association, the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, Rabobank Amersfoort and the Association of Amersfoort Businesses (VAB). He is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of Theater and Congress Center Flint, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kindertherapeuticum Zeist and board member of the Platform Business Mediation and the Insolvency Mediation Foundation.
