On September 30 and October 1, 2022, the International Association of Lawyers (UIA) held its congress in Brussels. This year’s theme was “Law Versus Digital Technologies: A Necessary Alliance? Legal, Economic and Environmental Opportunities and Challenges.” Eva Knipschild was one of the panelists discussing the topic of the Future of the Lawyer.
The panel focused on mediation, the role of lawyers as mediators, and the advantages and disadvantages of digital mediation sessions. The panel included Michel Forges (Faber Inter Legal, Belgium), Kato Aerts (Lydian, Belgium), Gerard James (William Fry LLP, Ireland), and Pierre Jung (Ngo Jung & Partners, France).
