Eva Knipschild and Linda Nekeman-IJdema spoke on 29 May 2026 in Warsaw at the annual Special Interest Group (SIG) Day of the Association of European Lawyers (AEL). Eva and Linda delivered the workshop Business Mediation in Practice for the employment and commercial dispute resolution SIGs. During that workshop, they shared insights into the international aspects of their mediation practice.
Among other topics, Eva and Linda discussed the role of mediation in cross-border collaboration disputes, shareholder conflicts, and employment issues within international organizations. They shared practical examples from their day-to-day mediation work and explored the differences in business and cultural dynamics that can play a role in international mediations. They also highlighted the added value of mediation as an efficient and forward-looking method of dispute resolution in an international context. The workshop resulted in an interactive exchange of experiences with lawyers from various European countries.
Eva and Linda were invited by Ben Smith, Secretary General van AEL. This event was organized by WKB Lawyers, the Polish law firm and AEL member.
